Complacent

One of my friend was very complacent about her toys when she was younger because her parents bought her something every time she did something good that was worth rewarding.

Covet

In sunday school we learned that one of the 10 commandments was to not covet things.

Dyslexia

When i was in 1st grade my friend had to transfer schools because she had dyslexia. The teacher noticed she had it because  she wan't read some words correctly in english class.

Placid

When my family friend told a story about what happened to one of his patients he was very placid. Even though the story was scary he still spoke very calmly.

Empathy

When 9-11 happened people all around the world had empathy for those who lost a friend or family member. Even though this happened years ago it still affects people to this day.

Philanthropy

Cassius feels that if he gets Brutus to believe him then he can promote his philanthropy. Cassius is trying to promote that Cesar is a bad ruler and it would be better for everyone if he just left.

Amity

Cassius is trying to build amity with Brutus. He knows that if he becomes friends with Brutus they can take down Cesar.

Pacify

Cesar is trying to pacify his city but Cassius does not believe this. Cassius thinks that Cesar is not trying to make peace, but he is going to ruin the city with his decisions.

Phobia

My friend has had a phobia of roller coasters, until I convinced her to go down this really high and steep slide at the water park, in the resort we were staying at in Puerto Rico over spring Break.  Now she can go on roller coasters and she does not have as big of a phobia of them anymore.

Bibliophile

My mom is a huge bibliophile and keeps trying to get me to be one. I have never really liked reading books, but my mom loves to and brings her kindle everywhere she goes just in case she has time to read.

Amity

The amity between my friend Kathryn, and me has lasted since kindergarten here at HIES.
